Alan A. Parsa, MD FACE
Dr. Alan Parsa grew up on Oahu and attended Mid-Pacific Institute, University of San Diego, and St. George’s University School of Medicine. Upon completing his residency training at Seton Hall University in New Jersey, he completed a fellowship in Adrenal Steroid Disorders at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Manhattan under the mentorship of Dr. Maria I. New, followed by an Endocrinology fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles under the mentorship of Dr. Shlomo Melmed and Dr. Jerome Hershman.
Dr. Parsa is double board certified in Internal Medicine and in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He currently serves as Medical Director of the Diabetes Program at Queen’s Medical Center West. In addition to his focus on comprehensive diabetes management, Dr. Parsa also has special interests in treating adrenal, thyroid, and pituitary disorders.
Dr. Parsa is involved with non-profit organizations and currently serves as the president of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) of Hawaii and is Founder and President of the Diabetes Research and Education Center (DREC) of the Pacific (diabetesrec.org).
In his free time, he is an avid surfer and enjoys various ocean activities.
